Tretin-x™ Topical Tretinoin

Tretinoin is a medication used to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing fine lines, wrinkles, reducing roughness and improving coloration. Tretinoin was originally developed to treat acne, as it increases cell turnover which promotes the extrusion of plugged material in the follicle. However, it was soon discovered to have anti-aging effects as well. Tretinoin helps the skin renew itself by stimulating collagen and elastin production. Tretinoin, also known as Retin-A, Avita and Renova, is a derivative of Vitamin A which indirectly inhibits the enzymes that break down collagen and elastin.
